Students honored for achievement

The Schieffer School led the nation this spring in student research paper acceptances by the International Academy of Business Disciplines.  Five student presentations were accepted for the IABD meeting in Orlando, Fla. All came from an International and Intercultural Communication class taught by Dr. Amiso George of the Division of Advertising/Public Relations.

Rashi Vats, a current broadcast journalism student, has been selected for a prestigious summer fellowship offered by the International Radio and Television Society Foundation. Rashi is currently an intern at CBS News London.

Daily Skiff opinion editor Lindsey Bever has also won a $3,000 scholarship award from the DFW Network of Hispanic Communicators. This marks the second consecutive year the group has awarded Bever a scholarship. She'll be presented the award at the Scholarship Awards Brunch on April 21st at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas.
