Image takes top Texas award
Image magazine captured the 2006Sweepstakes award in the General Magazines category and the TCU Daily Skiff won second place in the Best of Show newspaper competition at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention awards banquet Saturday in San Antonio.
Fifteen student journalists individually won or shared 25 awards, based on articles and issues published in the 2006. the Daily Skiff or its staff members won 18 awards, tied for the most with The Daily Texan of UT-Austin, which won the newspaper sweepstakes in the daily newspapers division.
Individual awards for Image magazine, which also won second place for overall excellence, include:
