O’Neil wins research award

Julie O’Neil received a top-three paper award at the Tenth Annual International Public Relations Research Conference held in Miami, FL, on March 10.  Her paper titled,  “Linking PR Tactics to Long-Term Success:  An Investigation of How Communications Contribute to Trust, Satisfaction, and Commitment in a Non-Profit Organization” was based upon research conducted with donors of the Tarrant Area Food Bank.  O’Neil’s research demonstrated that public relations writing tactics contribute to building greater levels of trust, satisfaction and commitment among active donors.  O’Neil received $1,000 for her research, which was presented to both public relations executives and academics.
